WHAT IS THE METABOLIC TESTING CENTER?

Metabolic tests measure the rate at which your body burns calories and uses oxygen during rest or during different activities throughout your day.  The Metabolic Testing and Weight Loss Center offers several tests to get a precise metabolic profile. WHAT IS  METABOLIC TESTING?

The Metabolic Testing Center is a facility where all of your metabolic services can be met. From finding  your heartrate zones that will help you to maximize fat burn during exercising. To discovering your total caloric expenditure, when trying to lose weight or find the right amount of calories to fuel your day. We can also help you find your fitness zones, that will allow you to be as efficient as possible during your activity. Our body fat and water analyzer will not only give us your lean body mass, water mass and fat mass but can also help us track your progress, set goals and maximize your energy to help you reach your goals.  Those goals can be weight driven and/or performance driven, either way the Metabolic and Weight Loss Center will help you succeed. WHAT IS RESTING METABOLIC RATE (RMR)?

Resting metabolic rate (RMR) is the number of calories you burn when your body is at complete rest. We use the latest technology to safely, effectively and accurately measure your resting metabolic rate. Once you've completed the non invasive test, of simply laying back and breathing though the testing hose, we will be able to know your exact caloric needs. We will be able to determine what your body uses at rest for fuel (carbs or fats). HOW DOES A RMR APPLY TO MY FITNESS?

A RMR will give you an actual caloric number that will, help to adjust your diet to attain your goals. Whether that is to lose weight, gain weight or maintain weight.  Find out what fuels your body. WHAT IS A VO2 MAX TEST?

A VO2 Max test refers to the maximum amount of oxygen that an individual can utilize during intense exercise.  It is measured in O2/kg/mL and gives you a number.  This measure is the best indicator of cardiovascular fitness and aerobic endurance. Taking the V02 max test will show you what zones your burn fat calories or carb calories in. This will allow you to modify your intensity or nutrition to exactly align with your goals. HOW CAN A VO2 MAX TEST HELP WITH WEIGHT & PERFORMANCE?

A VO2 Max test is performed on a treadmill or Bike, depending on your training discipline. While connected to the calorimeter  capable of analyzing your expired air, to determine which source you are using for fuel, carbohydrates or fat, at each specified heart rate zone.  The exercise test gives you information about the intensity levels at which your body uses oxygen (and burns fat) more or less efficiently as well as training zones to improve both endurance and/or speed. WHAT IS AN INBODY TEST?

An InBody test takes less than a minute and gives a full body composition analysis.  A body composition analysis is a method of differentiating between fat, protein, minerals and body water to give you a snapshot of your health. HOW DOES AN INBODY TEST HELP WITH WEIGHT & PERFORMANCE?

When diet and/or exercise are implemented over time, the body composition will change.  Changes to your body composition analysis can reveal where diet and/or exercise are making changes to the body and can be adjusted accordingly. Knowing your segmental lean body mass, along with your water analysis will help you design better workout programs, that will help you be more efficient, yielding higher results.
